PLEDGE POINTS

1. Initiate front of house composting for consumer compostable waste.

2.  Come up with creative ways to incentive customers using their own coffee mugs.

3.  Increase back of house composting and continue educating employees about composting practices.

The Zero Waste Pledge is a continuation of our commitment to reduce waste and be a better member of our community and a better business for the planet. It’s a commitment to help us maintain focus on what’s right for the people, land, water, and animals we share this space with. The audit is is an incredibly useful tool to re-examine daily operations and habits of day to day business to help reshape our vision on what we can do better. As a business we are growing and constantly changing, and being part of a group like ZERO by FIFTY helps us maintain an eye on continually refining our systems to be better community members and do right not just for ourselves and our customers, but everyone that shares this place.

As a business we can do a lot to improve but as a collective with other businesses and community members we can share a synergy that creates a sum total greater than all the parts. We can learn from each other and help support each other for the collective goal of having a cleaner town, cleaner earth. We are excited to be part of this with other outstanding businesses and leaders who share the goal of not just creating great products but to do so in a socially and environmentally better way.

Ultimately that’s what it’s about: doing the same great things, better.
